The Konkan railway police on Sunday recovered a body of an unidentified male person lying inside the Barcem railway tunnel. The body of the male person aged around 50-55 years was spotted by the railway personnel on Sunday morning.
Upon receipt of this information, the police visited the site and after completing the formalities, shifted the body to the South Goa District Hospital mortuary for preservation and to conduct further formalities.
The unknown male person aged about 50-55 years, is strong built, brownish complexion, wearing white colour half sleeves shirt, having multiple injuries over the body due to train accident.
Police said efforts are on to trace the identity of the unknown male deceased person. Further enquiry is in progress.
