The meeting called by the Action Committee on Scheduled Tribes at Raia on Sunday turned out a damp squib.
The meeting, which was convened to discuss the issue of political reservations to the ST community, did not take place.
ST leader Anthony Barbosa, who is the spokesperson of the Committee, told the media that the meeting called by the Committee could not take place.
In fact, he wondered why was the meeting called by the Secretary without taking other members in the loop.
“When I visited the office at Raia, there was no meeting. We tried calling the Secretary. Manuel Barbosa, but he did not reply,” Anthony said.
