“A sign of a cross has been found on his left hand,” said Calangute PI Jivba Dalvi, adding the body did not appear to be that of a local.
“Although no missing report has been filed, we have sent wireless information to other police stations outside the State,” the PI said.
The lifeguard Nakul Usapkar was first to sight the body floating in the sea at around 11.15 am on Saturday, a press release from Drishti Lifesaving Pvt Ltd said.
