A 53-year-old man from Alto Bogmalo died while undergoing treatment at Goa Medical College (GMC), Bambolim, three days after he was injured in a self-accident at Bogmalo.
The deceased has been identified as Anil Shet. Police said the accident took place on July 26, after which he was admitted to GMC for treatment. He succumbed to his injuries late on July 29.
Vasco Police have registered an unnatural death case under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS).
The body has been kept at GMC for medico-legal formalities.
Further investigation is being carried out by PSI Plato Carvalho under the supervision of PI Vaibhav Naik and the guidance of Mormugao DySP Gurudas Kadam.
