Mandrem police register FIR for arson on fishing canoes

Mandrem police have registered a FIR against unknown persons for setting fire two fishing canoes. The police had registered a fire incident earlier on 25/07/2024 and further today a

complaint was filed by Alex Fernandes, R/o Vithaldaswaddo, Morjim, Pernem informing that On 25/07/2024 between 10:30 hrs to 12.00 hrs at Vithaldas Waddo, Morjim, Pernem Goa some unknown person set ablaze two anchored fishing canoes, one belonging to the complaint and one belonging to his brother and other fishing articles belonging to them, thereby

causing loss to them. An FIR U/s 326(f) of Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023 has been registered.

Mandrem police are verifying the CCTV footages of the surrounding area to track the accused persons.
