Youth Club of Manora-Raia will felicitate prominent citizens of Curtorim constituency and others on the occasion of the 45th birthday of its Vice President Anthony Barbosa at the hands of Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on November 10 at the Manora grounds at 6.30 pm.
Born in Raia on November 10, 1976, Anthony Barbosa has been working for the people of Scheduled Tribes community in Curtorim and South Goa. He has been appointed as Vice President of South Goa ST BJP Morcha.
Under this banner, he has conducted many cultural programmes and medical health camps. He was very active during the Covid-19 pandemic, lending a helping hand to the Covid affected people, distributing medical aid to the needy.
Serving as GFA Executive Committee member, he is instrumental in winning the First Division League third place for Youth Club of Manora organised by GFA.
He has also taken Goan tiatr to Dubai on many occasions during his stay there for around 14 years.
As the first President of Konknni Mogi, Dubai, Anthony had produced a DVD called ‘Dubaiche Gõykar’ which is acclaimed by many music lovers.
He is much appreciated by CM Sawant for his active role among the citizens of Curtorim constituency. Youth Club of Manora, taking into consideration his contribution to the village of Raia and Curtorim constituency as a whole, has decided to honour him on his birthday.

On this occasion, Master and Faster composer Edwin D’Costa will present a musical show with famous Konkani stage signers Lawry Travasso, Sonia Sirsat, Anthony San, Jose Mascarenhas, Evola Cota, Clifford Mascarenhas and Edwin D’ Costa with special songs along with comedians Selvy, Myron and Risban.
There will be a traditional ghumat nach and live music by Jessy and Natasha.
