As part of the International Yoga Day celebrations, over 1000 NCC cadets drawn from various schools and colleges in North Goa coincided at the indoor stadium in Peddem, Mapusa, early Sunday morning.
It was a well synchronized show, with 1000 plus cadets performing Asanas rather flawlessly.
“I am very happy and actually overwhelmed to see so many cadets gathered under one roof and taking part in this unique event today,” said Colonel D K Chaturvedi, CO, 1 Goa Girls Battalion, Panaji.
All the cadets from various places assembled at about 7 am in Peddem.
“Besides the NCC cadets, the military is also celebrating separately the Yoga Day function today. We may have such programmes in future, but that depends on instructions of the seniors,” Chaturvedi told the media after the function.
NCC cadets of 1 Goa Battalion, both boys and girls units, and the naval unit took part in the International Yoga Day celebration, as part of the Central government’s initiative.
