Margao municipal workers demolish Illegal structure at Madel

The Margao Municipal Council on Friday razed down a structure in a residential locality in Madel after it was illegally erected in a stilt parking area.

MMC Chief Officer Agnelo Fernandes informed that the council had initiated proceedings in the matter in 2017 after receiving a complaint.

“Though the demolition order was served some time back, it could not take place for one reason or the other,” the Chief Officer said, adding that the MMC workers on Friday razed down the portion of the structure which had come up in the stilt parking area.
