The State government on Friday issued a notification reconstituting the board of Imagine Panaji Smart City Development Ltd (IPSCDL). The reconstituted board of directors headed by Chief Secretary Parimal Rai now includes Panaji MLA Atanasio “Babush” Monserrate and Panaji Mayor Uday Madkaikar as ex-officio directors.
It may be recalled that on October 13, IAS Hemant Kumar had been named as the new MD/CEO of IPSCDL in addition to his duties as the Commissioner of State Taxes.
The reconstituted board of the special purpose vehicle IPSCDL will begin functioning as soon as Kumar resumes duty on completion of the period of earned leave.
The notification to this effect was issued by the director of Municipal Administration and Urban Administration on October 14. According to the notification, the board of directors has been divided into two categories, ex-officio and appointed.
