Congress state unit President Amit Patkar has urged the South Goa District Collector and Margao Municipal Chief Officer to step in regarding troubling reports of Margao residents facing harassment from government officials.
They are allegedly being told not to proceed with their applications for minor tasks unless they go through the Model Margao portal. “I want to reassure the people of Margao not to worry and to stay brave. The Congress Party will stand up for their rights. We will soon set up a dedicated cell to address the concerns of ordinary people. All three Congress MLAs will become more proactive,” said Amit Patkar.
