Accused Russel D’Souza, who was arrested by the Fatorda police late Thursday night, for firing three gun shots, at a restaurant at Old Market Thursday night has been remanded to one-day police custody.
The Fatorda police had arrested Russel late Thursday night on the allegations that he fired three gun shots at the complainant Mashimulla Khan, aged 50 years, Old Market Circle, and his friend Nayim Khan.
Fatorda police has stated that the incident occurred over the issue of security deposit regarding the rented shop given on rent to the complainant.
No injuries were caused to the complainant or any other person in the incident.
In this connection, a case under Section 307 of the IPC and Section 3 and 25 of Arms Act has been registered. The fire arms i.e gun has been recovered from the accused.
