The total number of active Covid cases in the Margao Urban Health jurisdiction has cross the 500-figure mark, with another big spike in Covid cases.
A glance at the Health bulletin has put the total number of active Covid case in the Margao UHC jurisdiction at 581, a spike in 100 cases over the last 24 hours. In fact, the Margao UHC tops the list with the highest number of active Covid cases in the State.
Health officials in the know in private say there may be several Covid cases that have gone unreported in the city so far.
A glance at the Health bulletin further shows a spurt in Covid cases at the Cansaulim Primary Health Centre, which has jurisdiction over a couple of Salcete villages. In fact, the total number of active Covid cases reported at the Cansaulim PHC is pegged at 354 as on Thursday.
The situation is not better in the areas coming under the Loutolim, Curtorim and Chinchinim Primary Health Centres, with no let up in the number of Covid cases.
Take the case of the Chinchinim PHC. Active Covid cases have crossed the 151-mark on Thursday, indicating that cases have been rising in its jurisdiction. The situation at the Loutolim PHC is no better, with the total number of active Covid cases touching 140 on Thursday.
Similarly, the Curtorim PHC has reported around 116 cases on Thursday, while the number of cases reported at the Navelim PHC has nearly touched the 100-figure mark, around 90 cases to be precise.
