MARGAO: The nation-wide strike call by the trade unions evoked hardly any response in the State’s commercial capital with transport and business running smoothly throughout the day.
Private buses plied on the roads, while KTC buses ferried passengers as usual from the Margao bus stand.
The markets functioned normally, while the attendance in schools and educational institutions was reported as normal. Attendance in government departments was also reported normal in the city.
There was no untoward incident reported from any part of the city.
