Educationist and political activist, Atishi Marlena, will be in Mapusa to take part in a symposium on ‘Future of India through Education’ on October 2.
An initiative of JCI Mapusa, Padmashree Dr Suresh Amonkar and Prabhakar Timble will also address the gathering mainly consisting of teachers on the need of quality education for the betterment of the nation. JCI Mapusa Secretary and project coordinator of the event, Maxwell Rodrigues said that JCI Mapusa has adopted the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals on “UNSDG #4 Quality Education.
“We strive to give the society as much programmes as possible on quality education and promoting it. We have invited key personalities “ Atishi Marlena, Padmashree Dr Suresh Amonkar and Prabhakar Timble “ who have worked hard in the educational field for this symposium,” said Rodrigues.
The project coordinator was addressing a news conference along with JCI President, Santosh Dhekne and others in Mapusa on Friday. The symposium will be held from 11 am 1 pm at the Bodgeshwar temple hall, Mapusa.
Poonam Ajgaonkar informed that they contacted various schools from Pernem to Old Goa and have received encouraging response from the teaching community for the symposium.
