United Bahujan Samaj (UBS) of Goa on Friday threatened to protest outside the assembly complex if the State government failed to compensate two Bahujan Samaj families, after demolishing their houses at the proposed international Mopa airport site.

Addressing the press conference at Pernem, UBS of Goa member Deepesh Naik said the houses of Raghuvir Talkar and Hanumant Salgaonkar were demolished by the government 7 months ago without giving any prior notice.

“The government has promised them little compensation and this is not justified. This is total injustice and the Bahujan Samaj won’t allow such injustice in future,” he added.

Bardez Farmers Association President Sanjay Barde warned that if the Bahajun Samaj is not given justice immediately, then people would agitate outside the assembly complex.
