The department of BBA and BCA of MES College of Arts and Commerce as part of the Golden Jubilee celebrations felicitated industry personnel who were part of the growth of the college recently in a function held at the BBA auditorium. Auduth Timblo, Chairman of the Fomento Group, was the chief guest on the occasion.
A total of 41 guest faculties from diverse fields were felicitated on the occasion. The programme was organised to express gratitude and strengthen the commitment of the college towards its stakeholders and well-wishers.
Earlier, Principal Manasvi Kamat welcomed the gathering and shared a presentation on the growth and development of the college since its inception. The chief guest quoting several innovations in technology history from the Renaissance to the present-day ChatGPT illustrated how the industry has always been at the crux of education and learning.
The synergy of the industry and the academia is a strong one which has to be sustained effectively and nurtured wisely, he informed.
Lalitha Joshi, Treasurer of the Murgaon Education Society introduced the programme’s objectives and the chief guest. The President of the function and the Vice-Chairman of the Murgaon Education Society, Bhaskar Nayak also spoke on the occasion. The programme was hosted by Dr S Susan Deborah and the vote of thanks proposed by Dr Semele Sardessai, Coordinator of the BBA programme.
Members of the management, Vice-Chairman of the Murgaon Education Society Paresh Joshi, teaching and non-teaching staff and students were present on the occasion.
