Before starting the door-to-door campaign, Sawal offered prayers to goddess Mauli in Menkurem. He was accompanied by Latambarcem ZP Sanjay Shetye, former Bicholim Municipal Council (BMC) chairperson Karuna Govekar, former BMC deputy chairperson Bhagwan Harmalkar, Krishnanth Fogeri, Nissar Shaikh, sarpanchas, panchas and a large number of activists.
Congress party’s probable candidate for Bicholim constituency, Adv Manohar Shirodkar also started his campaign on Monday.
He was accompanied by Congress party national observer Ajay Kumar Joshi, Chaitanya Reddy, Nitin Parab, Pradeep Hoble, Shrirang Parab, youth brigade president Satish Naik, Yeshwant Sakhalkar, Rohan Shirodkar, Firoz Beig, Gaznaffar Aga, women front leader Manasi Shirodkar and other activists.
Shirodkar said Goa needs a change in leadership at any cost and he was confident that people from Bicholim constituency would support him.
