Velingkar on Sunday evening shared dais with Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party leaders and addressed voters of Savoi Verem in Priol constituency.
MGP president and Priol MLA Deepak Dhavalikar, Marcaim MLA Sudin Dhavalikar, new entrant in MGP MLA Naresh Sawal, ZP Shivdas Gawade, Sarpanch Ashok Gawade, Shrikant Shet Verenkar, Adv Narayan Sawant, Mohan Verenkar, Babita Gaonkar, Sandeep Vernekar, Damodar Naik and other office bearers were present.
Addressing the voters, Velingkar hit out at the BJP for failing to resolve the issue of Medium of Instruction. “Since 1980, Congress and BJP have ruined our culture and regional languages. We should be vigilant and teach a lesson to both the national parties,” Velingkar said.
Sawal said BJP and Congress are two sides of the same coin. “If we want to make a change, then there is a need to elect a regional party. I respect Bhausaheb Bandodkar and hence joined MGP.”
