The South Goa district Collector ordered as many as four micro-containment zones, three in Sanguem and one in Panchwadi in Ponda taluka on Sunday.
The action comes in the wake of surge in Covid cases in a couple of houses at Dabal and Gawaliwaddo in Netravali village and behind the government primary school at Cortali-Uguem, all in Sanguem.
Similarly, the district Collector has declared a house, which falls in part of Badegal Panchwadi village in Ponda taluka after six persons from the houses were infected by the virus.
