Panchayats Minister Mauvin Goidnho on Tuesday appealed to people to take utmost care while carrying out economic activities amid rising cases of Covid in the State.
Godinho was speaking to reporters after launching the Tika Utsav at Bogmalo Panchayat in the presence of Bogmalo Sarpanch Lorena Da Cunha, Parish Priest Fr Lourdino Pereira and other panch members.
"We have to carry all safety measures like sanitisation, social distancing and wearing of masks and today, there is no better alternative than getting vaccinated,” said Godinho.
"While we have so many Covid cases, it is equally important that livelihoods are not affected. People cannot stop working or stop carrying out business or any economic activity, but they must take utmost care while undertaking these activities," said Godinho.
Bogmalo Parish Priest Fr Lourdino Pereira said it was a great step to get the people vaccinated through such initiative and appealed to people to come forward and get themselves vaccinated.
Bogmalo Sarpanch Lorena Da Cunha said many Covid cases were being reported in the village and expressed happiness over the response to the Tika Utsav campaign in Bogmalo.
