A native of Maharashtra has been accused of kidnapping a 17-year-old girl from Vijaynagar-Karapur, Bicholim.
According to Bicholim Police, the victim girl's father filed a complaint on Monday evening. The complainant stated that the girl, who was in love with the suspect, had gone to Bicholim market along with her elder sister to buy milk on Sunday morning.
The police further informed that the victim girl failed to return home along with her sister. The victim's sister told family members that she could not see her sister, who was standing near her after purchasing the milk. After waiting for one day, the victim girl's father lodged the complaint on Monday.
Bicholim Police have booked the suspect under Section 363 of IPC and Section 8 of Goa Children’s Act. PSI Rohan Madgaonkar is investigating the case under the guidance of PI Narayan Chimulkar.
