Missing K’taka native found drowned at Chorao ferry point

The body of 28-year-old Modin Nabisab, reported missing from Porvorim, was found near the Chorao ferry point on Monday morning.

The post-mortem report revealed that Nabisab died due to drowning.

According to Old Goa police, Nabisab, a native of Bijapur, Karnataka, was reported missing since Saturday, and a missing person’s report was filed at the Porvorim police station.

On Monday morning, a body was found near the Chorao ferry, after which the Old Goa police were informed.

The police arrived at the spot, conducted the panchanama, and sent the body to the GMC for post-mortem, which revealed that the death was due to drowning.

The body was later handed to the relatives for final rites.

PSI Sarvesh Bhandari is conducting further investigations into the matter.
