OLD GOA
With Congress MLA Rajesh Faldessai opening up a front against the Bainguinim waste plant, questions arise whether he will get support from the party’s MLA and opposition leader Michael Lobo who was primarily responsible for giving the plant a push during his tenure as waste management minister.
When the question was put forth by The Goan to Faldessai whether Lobo will now extend support to the agitation, the MLA said that whether Lobo supports or not he will stick to his stand of not allowing the plant to come up in his constituency.
“I am with the people and will support projects that they want. Since they do not want the plant, I will always be with them in opposing the same. Many MLAs and ministers came and went but they were not successful but I will stop it,” Faldessai asserted.
