Curtorim MLA Reginaldo Lourenco has dashed off a letter to PWD Minister Nilesh Cabral to conduct an audit of all crash railings and barriers across the state.
In the letter, he pointed out that in the aftermath of the unfortunate incident of the Zuari bridge last week of July 2022, which claimed the lives of four people, it has become imperative that an immediate audit of all crash railings and barriers in the State is done.
“All out efforts must be made to replace dilapidated barricades which manifest signs of decay and deterioration. In other words, the railing has to be robust and must pass through regular testing. I request your good self to get all the worn-out crash railings and barriers repaired/replaced on a war footing in Goa,” he said.
