Mormugao MLA Sankalp Amonkar on Thursday questioned the State government for using its entire police force for the rebel Shiv Sena MLAs from another state.
Amonkar was speaking to reporters after inaugurating an office in Sada on the occasion of his birthday.
"BJP is only misleading the people and fooling them while making attempts to grab power across India. It is evident that the BJP had a major role to play in the Maharashtra government crisis because the rebel MLAs were sheltered in Surat, Guwahati and then in Goa, which all have BJP-led governments," said Amonkar.
"The crime rate is going up in the State and murder cases are going undetected in Mormugao constituency. However, authorities are silent on this. It is sad to see the State government using its entire police force for the welcome and safety of the rebel Shiv Sena MLAs from another state," said Amonkar.
Amonkar said he had assured the people during elections that he would open his office at Sada.
"I already have two offices in Baina and this third office is in Sada which I have opened for the benefit of people from Wards 1 to 6," said Amonkar.
