MMC CO convenes meeting to plan Margao floats

MARGAO

The Margao Municipal Council (MMC) Chief Officer (CO) Agnelo Fernandes has convened a meeting on Feb 16 to discuss the modalities of organising the Margao float parade of carnival 2022 which will be held on Feb 27, at Margao starting from the SGPDA grounds to Borkar Supermarket junction, Fatorda.

The meeting will have all stakeholders associated with the float parade at Margao and will be held at the Chief Officer’s chamber on Wednesday at 4 pm.

The Chief Officer said that like last year, the annual Margao Carnival Float Parade will be held by maintaining all government SOPs and traffic arrangements will be undertaken accordingly so as to not cause any inconvenience to the public.

The CO has requested the department heads of various stakeholders to send a representative from their office, should the dept head be busy with election duties.

The CO has requested all the stakeholders including the public to support the carnival floats and also participate in the same.

It may be recalled that last year, the CO had successfully organised the Margao float parade which was well appreciated and applauded for his smooth organisational skills.
