MAPUSA: The North Goa Planning and Development Authority (NGPDA) has granted permission to the Mapusa Municipal Council's administrative block, meat market and ‘C' block shops and a playground at Ganeshpuri.
The files were with the NGPDA for the last four months. The new 3-floor administrative block will be built near the municipal office. GSUDA had renovated the playground at Ganeshpuri and completed work on the first floor of ‘C' block and were awaiting permission from the NGPDA. "NGPDA has given permission for four of our projects. Auction of ‘C' block shops will be held and tender process of the mutton market will be started," said MMC Chairperson Rohan Kavlekar.
When contacted, NGPDA chairperson and Dy Speaker Micheal Lobo said, "MMC's projects have been granted permission and now it's up to the council to complete these projects."
