A Margao Municipal Council (MMC) team that descended at the Sirvodem area of the city to remove an illegal kiosk was questioned over their failure to remove such kiosks dotting the commercial capital.
The civic body was also accused of turning a blind eye to the illegal parking of rent-a-bikes surrounding the municipal building.
Afte the MMC team managed to remove some items and disconnect the power supply, the owner was granted some more time remove the kiosk.
“Is this the only illegal kiosk that is operating in the city. Are there are no illegal gaddas across the city? We are ready to point out the illegal structures in the city,” a citizen remarked.
