Three two-wheelers parked alongside the main road near the Talaulikar showroom near Ana Fonte garden were damaged after the Margao Municipal Emergency Seva van went off the road before ramming against the two-wheelers.
Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.
The driver of the MMC Emergency Seva vehicle, which was launched only recently to meet emergency calls during the monsoons, claimed that the brake failed after he tried to save a pedestrian crossing the road. In the process, the vehicles went off the road and rammed against the parked two-wheelers.
The police is investigating.
