A female tourist had her mobile phone, valued at Rs 40,000, snatched while riding a scooter in Assagao on Sunday night.
Shalini Singh and her friend Roshni Singh were heading towards Anjuna when two individuals on a two-wheeler approached them near Siddhi Vinayak temple and grabbed Roshni’s phone before fleeing.
Anjuna police registered a case under Sections 356, 379, and 34 of the IPC, with Police Constable Rajendra Patil conducting further investigation.
