Social Welfare Minister Subhash Faldesai has said that India now occupies an important place in the comity of nations due to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s strong leadership.

He was speaking at the BJP Foundation Day Celebrations at the South Goa BJP district office on Sunday.

Party leaders Digambar Kamat, NRI Commissioner Narendra Sawaikar, party secretary Sarvanand Bhagat, district president Prabhakar Gaonkar and others also addressed the meeting.

In his address, Subhash Faldesai took the platform to also remind the party leaders and rank and file that no one is greater than the party.

“We are not greater than the party. Some may think they are big, but certainly not greater than the party”, he added.

Subhash  reminded how the USA had once denied visa to Modi, but is now according him with a red carpet welcome in that country.

In his address, Congress-turned-BJP Margao MLA Digambar Kamat said today is an important day since the BJP foundation day has come on the Ram Navami.

Attributing the BJP’s rise over the years to the hard work put in by the workers, Kamat said no one can stop the victory of a political party if the workers are charged and raring to go.

“The workers are responsible for the BJP’s rise in Goa from just four MLAs in 1994”, he said.

Kamat further said that the country enjoys a big status in the world under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“Today, no country can overlook and ignore India. Before finalising policies on international relations, countries turn to India for advice”, he said, while urging the party workers to strengthen the hands of the Prime Minister to make India a super power.
