Women and school students from Gawadewada-Morjim have requested Pernem Deputy Collector Narayan Gad to initiate action against beach parties at Morjim.
In a memorandum submitted to Gad, the women and students stated that three shacks at Morjim are consistently playing loud music, while night parties are organised on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
“During the days of exam of the students, permissions should not given to organise such parties,” demanded the memorandum.
Deputy Collector Gad said no permission is given to the three shacks to organise night parties.
“Recently, one night party was given permission at Gawadewada-Morjim to play music till 10 pm. However, during the exams of the students, no permits will be given,” assured Gad.
Gad further said strict action will be initiated against those who organise parties without permission and police will be asked for 24 hours police surveillance on the beaches.
