The Mormugao Municipal Council (MMC) on Thursday constituted standing committees and sub-committees to oversee different areas of work in the council.
MMC Chairperson Damodar Kaskar chaired the meeting in the presence of MMC Chief Officer Jayant Tari, Vice-Chairperson Shraddha Mahale and other councillors.
The MMC Standing Committee consists of Deepak Naik, Fredrick Henriques, Yatin Kamurlekar, Damodar Naik, Vinod Kinlekar and Leo Rodrigues.
The education committee will be headed by Manjusha Pilankar, with Narayan Borkar and Kunali Parsekar as members. The market committee will be headed by Mathias Monteiro, with Dayanand Naik and Prajay Mayekar as members.
The solid waste management committee will be headed by Narayan Borkar, with Ramchandra Kamat and Kunali Parsekar as members. The Development Committee will be headed by Ramchandra Kamat, with Ameya Chopdekar and Shraddha Mahale as members.
The Sanitary, Health and Medical Committee will be headed by Prajay Mayekar, with Ameya Chopdekar and Vinod Kinlekar as members. The Biodiversity Committee will be headed by Yatin Kamurlekar, with Catarina Xavier, Kunali Parsekar, Devita Arolkar, Damodar Naik and Ameya Chopdekar as members.
