Believe it or not, a car without a tyre belonging to Mormugao Municipal Council (MMC) has been lying outside the MMC garage along the busy road in Vasco.

Several people who visit the RTO office just opposite the MMC garage have frequently struggled for parking space and there are several times that the RTO jeep has also struggle to park by the roadside.

The Mormugao Municipal Council  garage, which is meant for repairs and maintenance of MMC vehicles, also houses other vehicles.

Sources say that the MMC car without a tyre has been lying on the road for over 3 months. Several people arriving at the RTO office have slammed the Mormugao Municipal Council  for not repairing the car or shifting it within

the garage space, so as to clear the parking space on the road.

A resident, Rajkumar Naik, on Thursday slammed the Mormugao Municipal Council  for failing to attend to the car lying on the road since the last 3 months.

“On Dussehra, many people went to the RTO to register their new vehicles and there was no parking space. To make matters worse, this MMC car has been lying here for so long. I don’t understand how could the MMC ignore its own car for so many months. Does it take 3 months for Mormugao Municipal Council  to change a tyres, asked Naik.

Naik has appealed to MMC to remove the car from the road and get it either repaired or shifted inside the garage.
