Students of Our Lady Of Divar High School enacting a skit on the life of St Teresa of Calcutta.
Mother Teresa sainthood celebrated
PANAJI: Our Lady of Divar High School, Divar, celebrated the sainthood of Mother Teresa in the school on September 14. The programme began with the prayer service by students in honor of Mother Teresa who was recently canonized by Pope Francis in Rome.
Teacher Anthony in his keynote address spoke on the life of St Teresa of Calcutta. Later the students also enacted a skit based on the life of St Teresa which was directed by Socorro Fernandes. The students also sang songs on Mother Teresa. The students were also shown a documentary on the life of Mother Teresa.
The Headmaster Mario Moraes distributed prizes to the winners of the poster and poem competitions based on Mother Teresa. Teacher Anthony, Socorro and Cliffa were the coordinators of the programme.
