The fate of tiatrist Anthony Fernandes, who has been held guilty for the murder of wife Fiona Fermina, will be decided on January 2 when the South Goa Sessions court will pronounce the sentence he has to undergo.
The court had on Thursday held Anthony guilty for the murder of his wife that took place on March 24, 2016. .
The prosecution had examined as many as 25 witnesses in support of its case.
Anthony had stabbed his wife after a quarrel with a kitchen knife. The police charged him for chopping Fiona’s legs and packing the dead body along with the chopped legs in a traveler bag in the early hours of March 25. He later dumped the bag inside the TB Complex, Monte Hill, before setting it on fire in order to destroy evidence.
