Mustifund Aryaan Higher Secondary School, Cujira, has secured 100 per cent for the fifth time in a row, at the HSSC exams conducted by Goa Board this year, with all 74 students passing with flying colours.
Declaring this in a press conference at Cujira, Vyankatesh Prabhudesai, director, Mustifund Aryaan Higher Secondary School announced that 67 out of 74 students passed with distinction while seven got first class. The students who got 90 per cent aggregate are 12 and those who stood between 85-90 per cent are 20. Out of the total number of students who opted for PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Maths) combination, 16 students got more than 90 per cent. Those who got more than 80 per cent are 47 and those who got more than 75 per cent are 59. For PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology), 24 students got more than 80 per cent.
Many students have got more than 90 per cent marks in each of the subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Biology, Hindi, Psychology, CS, etc. Among these 32 are in Physics, 32 are in Chemistry and 20 students (out of 64) are in Maths. In Biology 15 students (out of 29) got more than 90 per cent. Similarly, 20 (out of 60) in Hindi, 10 (out of 30) in Psychology and 10 (out of 25) in CS got more than 90 per cent.
Known as the toppers’ choice, Mustifund Aryaan’s has produced toppers year after year.
In 2015-16 there were 10 students who secured 90 per cent (aggregate), 61 who got distinctions and eight who came in first class. The PCM (above 90 %) were 18, PCM (above 80 %) were 43, PCM (above 75 %) were 47 and PCB (above 80 %) were 12 students. The count above 90 per cent in each subject was - Physics 22, Chemistry 18, Maths 28, Biology 18 and Hindi 11.
Similarly in 2016-17, there were 11 students who got 90 per cent aggregate, 55 students came in distinction and eight got first class. PCM above 90 per cent were 21, above 80 per cent were 39 and above 75 per cent were 49. There were 26 students in PCB who got above 80 per cent. Those who got above 90 per cent in each subject were - Physics 20, Chemistry 21, Maths 27, Biology 22 and Hindi 22.
In 2017-18, out of 74 students 12 got 90 per cent aggregate, 64 got distinction and three came in first class. In PCM combination those who got above 90 per cent were 14 students, those who got above 80 per cent were 39 and those who got above 75 per cent were 44. In PCB combination those who got above 80 per cent were 24 students. In that year, there were 22 students who got above 90 per cent in Physics, 21 in Chemistry, 19 in Maths, 20 in Biology and 23 in Hindi.
JEE Main exam results
PANAJI: There are eight students who got above 99 per cent and who are among the top one per cent in the country in the JEE Main results in 2019 are Jaiprakash Gurav who ranked 166th in All India Rank (AIR) out of approximate 10 lakh students who appeared for the exam. Gurav is the best ever from Goa in current format of JEE introduced since 2013.
The second in line is Deep Dessai with rank 830, Naivedya Amarnani (rank 857), Abhishek Pai Angle (rank 2317), Rahul Shanbhag (rank 2433), Laxman Desai (rank 4913), V Nikhilesh (6197), Nivedan Amarnani (rank 8150), Shrav Desai (rank 9845) and Trusha Neogi (rank 11,135).
For JEE Main there were two exams this year, in January 2019 and April 2019, both over eight sessions and students could answer either one or both and the best of two would be considered. There were total 16 set of papers and the total marks were 360.
Mustifund Aryaan’s highest score is 336 out of 360 which Jaiprakash Gurav got and he stood 166th among the top one per cent students out of total 11.45 lakh students. Deep Desai stood on 830 and Naivedya Amarnani’s rank was 857.
