National Hindu Movement agitation at Ponda on July 23

The All Hindu organisation under the banner of ‘National Hindu Movement' will stage an agitation at the old bus stand, Ponda, on July 23 at 11 am.

The NHM is expected to take up the issue of religious unrest by demanding a ban on a certain religious
organisation.
According Dr Manoj Solanki of NHM, demands will be made to dissolve the West Bengal government for the harassment meted out to Hindus and to establish President\'s rule there and to take stringent action again Pakistan for feeding jihadi terrorists and attacking pilgrims who had gone to visit Amarnath Shrine. The Hindu movement is also expected to demand a ban on Chinese products because of China\'s attitude of infiltration in India.

Staff shortage hits Curchorem post office

Services at the Curchorem post office have been severely hampered since July 13. With barely three staffers, including the postmaster, stationed at the post office in the busy areas of Curchorem and Sanvordem, the absence of even one of them severely hampers work in the post office.

According to sources, the clerk handling speed post and other registered letters was deputed for training from July 13 and resumed on July 19.
