The BJP MLA from Navelim Ulhas Tuemkar appears to be on the move in the constituency since his election last month.
The free heart disease treatment camp organised by Navelim BJP Mandal in collaboration with Imperial Plus Hospital at Shishuvikas High School in Ake-Bayash Panchayat area received a huge response on Sunday. A total of 256 people benefited from this camp. It included ECG, blood pressure, and diabetes tests. On Tuesday, MLA Ulhas visited various offices in the Navelim constituency on the occasion of the BJP's social justice fortnight. He was accompanied by the new BJP Mandal general secretaries Deepak Sawant and Pramod Prabhu, Avinash Sardesai, Deepak Gaadi, Gaurish Priyolkar, Rajesh Tuyekar and Damu Chavan were also present.
The MLA paid a surprise visit to Navelim and Dicarpale electricity 'Out Post' and inspected it. He visited Navelim Panchayat and held discussions with Sarpanch Bebinda Gonsalves. He also visited the panchayats of Telaulim and Davorlim and discussed the issues.
“Due to heavy rains in the last two days, the fallen trees in Navelim constituency were removed with the help of fire brigade and other agencies,” he told the media.
After becoming the MLA of Navelim constituency, Ulhas Tuekar started working by issuing necessary instructions after meeting the concerned engineers and officials for electricity, water supply and road to address the problems.
“The confidence with which the electorate has elected me as MLA in Navelim constituency, I am committed to solve the problems of the voters and usher in the overall development of the constituency," he added.
