Navelim villagers led by a panch member Leena Rebello claimed that they have not received the mail since the last two months,
saying letters and other correspondence was not delivered to the people for reasons best known to the postal authorities.

Roland later lodged his complaint on the book which was opened at the post office in 1990.
"Today 9th October is World Post Day and it is shocking that this complaint book is 23 years old. Is this book still in use so that it completes its silver jubilee," Roland stated in his complaint, while demanding to know why a new complaint book has not been provided in the post office.
He further pointed that there's neither a Citizens Charter nor a board displaying that RTI applications are accepted here.
