MAPUSA
Accusing Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar of adopting dual standards by dropping two ailing ministers when he himself was seriously ill, the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) asked Parrikar to step down as chief minister and take complete bed rest.
“If Mapusa MLA Francis D’Souza and Cumbharjua MLA Pandurang Madkaikar cannot handle their responsibility as ministers on health grounds, how can Parrikar shoulder the state’s administration when he himself is critically ill?” asked NCP State General Secretary Sanjay Barde, while addressing the media at Mapusa.
“In this situation, the state administration has come to a standstill. Parrikar should have resigned first,” Barde added.
Rajendra Satlekar and Anuil Zolapure were also present.
