Need to change State govt: Mandrem Cong

Goa Pradesh Congress committee vice-president Babi Bagkar appealed to the Congress party workers to work hard to ensure victory of the Congress candidate in Mandrem constituency in the coming assembly election.
“There is need to change the State government and it should start from Mandrem constituency,” stated Bagkar while addressing a meeting convened on Saturday to elect booth committee of Mandrem constituency.
Mandrem block committee president Narayan Redkar, former union minister Ramakant Khalap, Sangeeta Parab, Sachin Parab, booth committee president Laximikant Govkar and C Fernandes were present for the meeting.
Speaking at the meeting, Khalap said only Congress party can protect the identity of Goa. “In the last 15 years, Mandrem constituency is lagging behind in terms of development. We must approach each and everyone to tell them why Congress party rule is needed,” said Khalap.
“Mandrem college is not my property. This college is of the people of Mandrem and I have not employed my relatives in the college,” said Khalap.
Sangeeta Parab said they will work hard to ensure victory of the Congress candidate and it is up to the party to decide to whom the ticket should be given.
Sachin Parab and Narayan Redkar also spoke on the occasion.
