PORVORIMr rNerul Comunidade president Eric Godinho informed that the senior officials of INS Mandovi had approached him and stated that INS Mandovi is a sensitive area and hence from security point of view, they wanted to construct a new road from Nerul village to enable the students to go to the school which is in its premises and also for people to go to INS Mandovi office. r“The Nerul Comunidade issued No-Objection Certificate to INS Mandovi for the construction of road,” he said. rStrongly objecting to Godinho’s statement, the villagers said the Nerul Comunidade has no right to issue NOC to INS Mandovi without obtaining permission from the panchayat. rAfter heated exchanges, the gram sabha adopted a resolution that the panchayat should not allow construction of the road.
