A new computer digital lab has been set up at the Tudal high school Gaondongrim in Canacona.
The computer digital lab has been set up under the School Infrastructure Development Programme of Colorcon Asia Private Limited and among those present on the occasion included Colorcon Asia Pvt Ltd Site Director Prakash Gadhave, Secretary of Voluntary Health Association of Goa Dr S P Kamat, Nirakar Education Society Chairman Prashant Naik and Tudal High School headmaster Tukaram Velip.
Speaking on the occasion, Gadhave complimented the school authorities for their commendable performance in academics, sports and extra-curricular activities.
“Colorcon wants to create infrastructure for educational institutes in Goa by contributing its share of profits through CSR activities. Village students should also get the best of education and training in computers which is the need of modern-day education,” he said.
HR head of Colorcon Sidhi Kamat Sambari explained the products of Colorcon and also talked about the projects undertaken by Colorcon throughout Goa under its CSR initiative.
Prashant Naik thanked Colorcon for the state-of-the-art computer lab to the school, which is located in a remote area where over 90% of the population is from the Scheduled Tribe community.
He promised to make full use of the lab and assured officials of Colorcon to present a report of its usage after one year. He further requested the company to assist in its infrastructure development projects.
