Nigerian nabbed in ANC raid at Arambol

The Anti Narcotic Cell of Goa Police on Tuesday raided a spot in Arambol, Pernem seizing Rs 7.8 lakh worth narcotic substances weighing 105 gms and arrested one 53-year-old Nigerian national.

Upon reliable information, the raid was conducted on Tuesday between 7 pm and 10.30 pm in an open parking area in front of hotel El Paso Multicuisine Bar and Restaurant at Arambol, Pernem. The accused Nigerian national, Paul Chibuzor Ozoemena (53), presently residing at Arambol, was caught red-handed for being in illegal possession of 155 grams of amphetamine and 50 grams of ganja worth Rs 7,80,000 in the international market. Cash of Rs 2,000 and one mobile phone were also attached from his possession. The accused has been booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985. ANC sub inspector Ditendra Naik is investigating the matter.
