Goa continued to witness high temperatures and uncomfortable humidity on Thursday, with the maximum temperature touching 36.2°C and the heat index remaining between 41°C and 45°C through the day. According to the department, maximum temperatures are expected to remain between 35°C and 36°C till May 20, while minimum temperatures are likely to stay between 27°C and 28°C. The IMD also said conditions were becoming favourable for the advance of the southwest monsoon around May 16, with Kerala likely to receive the monsoon by May 27.
