M D Singh, director, defence exhibition organisation, Ministry of Defence, said that DefExpo 2016 has been such a success and benefits to Goa are so many that generations to come will thank for an event like this and no one will regret it in Goa.
Singh said, “The State benefits when you get a clean and green show like defence expo. Besides, everyone from hoteliers to taxi operators to plumbers to electricians are getting business due to this exhibition.”
Singh continued, “Even protestors were very peaceful, which amazed me.”
Just to give an idea about how much work was done in very little time, Singh said, “The land was handed over to us on March 7. We started construction here only on March 8 and we were ready by March 27.”
But, Singh emphasised that his organisation has created everything temporary and not for permanent basis.
Singh even informed that the delegates are very happy with business interactions and the response has been tremendous.
