The Chief Judicial Magistrate, Margao has on Tuesday issued a non-bailable warrant against former Minister Mickky Pacheco after he was found conspicuous by his absence in the court during the hearing of a case.
Sources said that Pacheco’s lawyer, who was present in the court room, filed an application for exemption of the accused, but the CJM rejected the application.
The judge later directed issuance of non-bailable warrant against Pacheco and notice to the surety.
The matter relates to the case filed against him by the Fatorda police in connection with the FIR registered against him for allegedly issuing threats during the protests at Old Market against Subhash Velingkar.
