Now, no-trust against Aldona’s deputy sarpanch

Aldona Panchayat is at it again, and this time it is seven members who have moved a no-confidence motion against Deputy Sarpanch Charudatta Panjikar.
Moving the no-trust motion, the members said that the deputy sarpanch was careless towards the members and also failed to solve the market and garbage issue.
The panchas, Sandra Rodrigues, Ursula D’Souza, Jyotsna Nagde, Vallabh Polle, Deepak Naik, Tommy Tavares and Jerry, signed the no-trust motion against the deputy sarpanch in the 11-member panchayat.
Last time Panjikar had promised to relinquish his position as the deputy making way for a fellow panch member. He however failed to keep his word.
In June last, a similar attempt was made wherein a no-trust motion was moved against the sarpanch and the deputy. Later a deal was struck between the members and the no-trust motion was allowed to lapse.
