In another decision, the cabinet has brought the NRI Commission under the control of the State Home Department. It was earlier a separate entity and budget head.
Under the new arrangement, however, the status of the commission will remain unchanged, Sawant said.
Post-facto approval was also granted by the cabinet to the revised land allotment policy at the Tuem Electronic Manufacturing Cluster (EMC) under which rates have been reduced to attract investments, Sawant said.
In yet another decision, ex-post-facto approval was given to extend by five years the Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) of the Goa Broadband Network (GBBN) connectivity and network linking all government departments, State-owned Corporations and autonomous bodies across the State of Comnet Solutions Pvt Ltd as the implementing agency.
